Back-links are links on other sites which are directed towards your website. A slow, but true and tested method is to focus on creating good content. When you have tones of cool and interesting content in your website, readers will generally be inclined to book mark and add your link to their website or blog. You can also create great back-links by creating a profile on Squidoo, Facebook, My Space, Twitter and other social book-marking sites. You can add your website links to those profiles and with a little bit of networking and maintenance, you can also gain a decent amount of traffic from those sites. Article marking and directories are also great ways to create back-links.
